A solar installation, battery-only upgrade and EV charger do not require the same checks. We tailor the assessment to the property, the existing electrical system and what you want the system to achieve.
One process, adapted to the job
Solar
Roof layout, shading, switchboard condition, phases, export limits, energy use and future battery or EV plans.
Battery & Backup
Existing solar and inverter compatibility, usable capacity, operating mode, installation location and the circuits you want backed up.
EV Charging
Vehicle and connector compatibility, single- or three-phase supply, charging goals, cable route, solar integration and load management.
The six-stage Maxim process
01 — Tell us about the project
Share the property address, recent electricity bill, photos of the switchboard and proposed equipment area, plus your goals. For an existing system, inverter and battery labels are especially useful.
02 — Technical assessment
We review supply phases, available capacity, switchboard and metering, roof or mounting area, equipment compatibility, cable routes, export requirements and relevant site constraints. A site inspection is arranged when remote information is not enough.
03 — Design and written proposal
You receive a proposal based on the assessed job scope. It identifies the selected equipment, system size, inclusions, options such as backup, known exclusions and any information still requiring confirmation.
04 — Approvals and scheduling
Required distributor applications, rebate or incentive steps and installation timing depend on the project. Eligibility is never assumed: customers must meet the current program rules and provide any required documents before installation.
05 — Installation and commissioning
Our licensed team installs the agreed system, completes electrical testing, configures operating settings and checks communications or monitoring. If an unexpected site condition changes the scope, it is discussed before extra work proceeds.
06 — Handover and support
We explain the system, monitoring access, shutdown or isolation procedure and any backup limitations. Required documentation is supplied, and our team remains available for genuine faults, questions and warranty support.
What helps us assess your job faster
- Property address and best contact details
- A recent electricity bill showing usage and supply information
- Clear photos of the main switchboard, meter and proposed installation area
- Existing solar inverter, panel or battery model labels
- Your priorities: savings, backup, EV charging, expansion or fault repair
- Any access, asbestos, roof, distance or scheduling constraints you already know about
What can change the timeline
Project timing can depend on distributor approval, rebate documentation, equipment availability, switchboard or meter upgrades, site access, weather and the complexity of the installation.
We will not promise an installation date or rebate outcome until the relevant dependencies are clear.
