Residential Solar Installation in Victoria
Solar designed around your roof, usage and future battery plans—not a one-size-fits-all package.
A solar system should be designed—not simply selected
Maxim Energy designs and installs residential solar systems across Victoria. We assess the switchboard, roof layout, shading, electricity use, export limits and any future battery or EV charging plans before recommending a system size and equipment combination.

What affects the right system size?
The best size is not automatically 6.6 kW, 10 kW or 13.2 kW. It depends on daytime consumption, roof space and orientation, network export limits, phase configuration, available switchboard capacity, budget and whether a battery or EV is planned. We explain these trade-offs before installation.

Residential solar FAQs
Do I need the biggest solar system my roof can fit?
Not always. The right size depends on how and when you use electricity, export limits and your plans for a battery or EV.
Can solar be added to an existing battery?
Often yes, but inverter compatibility, system architecture, phase configuration and network approval must be checked first.
Will solar work during a blackout?
A standard grid-connected solar system switches off during a blackout for safety. Backup operation requires compatible equipment and a specifically designed backup circuit or system.
Can you review another company’s quote?
Yes. Upload it through our free quote-check page and we will review the equipment, system design and important installation details without sales pressure.
